The Magnificent Borneo Island: Miri International Jazz Festival

My pass to Miri International Jazz Festival (MIJF) 2009 on 9th May!

There are four bands performing that night.

The 1st band is Dites 34 from France!

They have a very cool saxophone player (at the 1st left) and I like this band very much!

The 2nd band was from SOuth Africa. (no photo taken)

The 3rd band is from Canada, which won the most popular award from the audiences' feedback from last year. This is the 2nd time they performed in MIJF.

They have a very excellent drummer (in the middle) and the drum solo was one of the highlight of the night!

This is the last band from Singapore.

The saxophone player playing the song "Against all odd" and receive massive responce from the audiences.

And you think Jazz Festival is just about music??

Then you are so wrong.

They are so much food that I thought it is a food festival going on.

The food that i bought:

Nacho.

Mutton, naan and rice from Zaika.

And there are more foods! Including chicken wings, potato wedges, pizza, sandwiches, shushi, spagetti, coffee bean, ice dream!

ok, this was not a fire. It was just that the flame from the Penang fried Kueh Tiao.

Look at the food stall!

There were chairs outside for you to enjoy the food while watching the show.

And it really feel good when there were sea breeze while enjoying the food and music!

Even looking at the coconut tree will make you feel relaxing enough.

And once you are too stuffed with the food, you can just get into the hall and joined the crowd for dance and swing!

Towards the end of the show, all performers were on the stage !
